Visa Requirements for Malta:
Students from EU countries and countries that are part of the Schengen Agreement do NOT need a Visa in order to travel to Malta. Other nationals from Japan, South Korea, Argentina and Brazil also do not need a short stay VISA. If your country is listed on this website then you DO need a VISA:

Requirements for students from other countries:
The stay in Malta requiring a visa can only be up to 90 days. Please allow a minimum of 4 weeks for your application to be processed.
All visa applications must be in writing and must be filed at Malta’s diplomatic mission or its representations. A list of representations for countries that require a visa can be found on the Ministry for Foreign Affairs website
